Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill

Fits the Weber Q 320 Too
I corresponded with several vendors to be sure that this cover would fit my new Weber Q 320. The ads all state that it fits the 300, but interestingly enough, even the representatives from Weber wouldn't guarantee that it would fit the 320. I'm happy to confirm that it fits the 320 perfectly. I bought mine from a brick and mortar store because they would take it back (no shipping and handling). The factory box the cover came in stated that it would fit the "Weber Q 300 Series" grills. Fortunately I'm enjoying my Weber Q 320 and the cover. Someone should really tell the Weber employees about this well-kept secret.
Good quality, design isn't very good though.
After seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I decided to try this cover for my Q320.

It does fit very well. I'm accustomed to a cover that comes down to the ground, perhaps even velcros a bit tighter to stay on in wind. This cover does NOT have velcro, and does NOT reach the ground. The photo is almost accurate, it barely comes over the top of the wheels. Do not count on it to protect anything stored on the rack at the base.

The vent... I can't say what this is for. In my case, it is bad. I do not have a roof over my grill, and the mesh vent will most definitely let rain/snow/ice and other elements in, right on top of the grill! What on earth is the point of a cover, if not to cover the grill and protect it from the elements?? Once the water is in, the solid portion of the cover will help retain the moisture against the grill. My iron grates already rust a bit with a solid cover, I hate to see what will happen if I use this one without 'fixing' it...
Weber Q300 Series Premium Grill Cover 6553
This is the nicest grill cover we have owned. Fits perfectly with a flat vinyl handle on top and a mesh section on the upper back of the cover. This may be to prevent condensation buildup beneath cover on grill by allowing air to circulate/escape. This might also be a good safety feature to prevent buildup of gas under the cover in the event of a slight gas leak from the tank, even though the tank valve should always be turned off and the grill cool before covering.
