Weber 7435 Cooking Grate

Cheap Chinese crap
The original grate on my 25 year-old Weber kettle was still usable but it was looking a little shabby so I decided to get a new one. My mistake. This new grate is very cheaply made of much lighter gauge steel. Also, my old grate has 32 cross bars which are nice and close together, this new one only has 25 cross bars that are farther apart. I doubt if this new grate will last more than five years so I will keep my old one and reuse it when this new one is shot. It is too bad that Weber chooses to put its name on poor quality Chinese products such as this but I guess that is the world we live in today.
Works fine, not as solid as old ones
I bought this to replace the grate on my 25+ year old trusty Weber grill. When I compared it to my original grate, the original is a thicker gauge of metal and thus stiffer. This one will do the job, but I always liked how solid and sturdy everything was on my old grill, so 4 stars for having dropped it down a notch.

Arrived on time, packaged well. It was simple to order the right part for my Weber which is over 10 years old.
