Weber 6488 Original Potato Nails


Weber potato nails falls "short" in performance!
I personally like kitchen gadgets and potato nails have always attracted me--and yes, I have purchased them all. The short aluminum ones don't work well at all (a waste of money). I wouldn't eat potatoes baked with them anyway because of the risk of aluminum leaching. I am a big fan of the Spud Spikes stainless steel potato nails (Potato Baking Nails - Premium US Made 6-inch Stainless Steel (set of 4) by Spud Spikes), so when I saw that Weber had come out with their version, I had to check them out. When the nails first arrived, I noticed that the words "Potato nails" on the package were in 22 languages with no instructions on how to use them. Hmmm ..... and they were made in China. They lost me right there--I prefer US-made products.

When I finally got the hard plastic case out of the package, I dropped it; nails flew all over and the lid broke apart from the bottom (poor design). It seemed to...
Good for Smoked Potatoes
Smokes potatoes faster than normal. Not a bad product. Must have for all you fellow Weber fans who love to smoke their potatoes.
GREAT
These are great. They help to bake perfect baked potatoes, even the center. Such a simple idea, but so effective.
