Weber 6515 Q Stainless Steel 2-Piece Tool Set

Nice tools, but be aware.....
These tools are made to be stored underneath the fold out tables of your Weber Q grill. I ordered these along with my Q120 thinking it would be nice to keep them together when not in use. As it turns out, the newer Q models do not come with the bar that screws to the underside of the table, presumably where the tools are held in place by the indentations you can see in the picture. I contacted Weber to try to get this piece but I was unsuccessful. There are screw holes on the underside of the tables where the bar attaches, if I can't locate the bar I may have to try to make one out of some soft copper tubing.
What the Hey!!
I own a predecessor set of these Weber grilling tools and love them. I loved them so much on my motorhome trips that I decided to buy another set for my home grill. Unfortunately, since I bought the original set, Weber has changed the design of the tongs which I am very unhappy with. Where the older tongs had a smooth gripping surface and stronger spring action, the new design has a weaker spring action, and little nubs on the edges of the gripping ends that are supposedly better at holding on to meat and vegetables on the grill. I have found that the new tongs are almost useless to me, and though I make them work in most instances, they are a pain to operate. It's one of those things that you have to experience in person before you can appreciate how simple but great the previous design was, and how annoying it is trying to make the new tong design work. In my opinion, the new tongs are real clunkers!
Classic Weber Quality
Just like most Weber accessories and grills these utensils are quality made and seem like they will last for many camping trips to come.
