Why Don't Retailers Stock The Weber Firestarter Cubes?
This is without a doubt the best way to start a grill. Toss one of these little jewels in among the charcoal, touch a match to it, and 15 minuted later you've got fire! Forget chimmneys and starter fluid. The Firestarters are odorless and tasteless. The only problem: try finding them at a brick-and-mortar retailer! In this area only Lowes OCCASIONALLY has them. Get with it Home Depot, Ace, and even Lowes: you're losing my business to the Amazon vendors.
Cube-tastic!
I was a bit skeptical of these at first, thinking it was a bit otiose to use them considering how easy crumbling newspaper is for my chimney starter. However, I got them as a gift and may not ever go back to newspaper. All you need is one, light it up under your chimney, and pour coals over. That's it, you're done - and you don't have any newspaper remains to scatter with the wind or get on your food!! I'm thinking about bringing a few of these on my next camping trip as well since they will light even when wet I'll never have a problem starting a fire.
Weber Lighter Cubes
I've just purchased a Kamado dome grill and was looking for something that would lite the charcoal without all the hassle. These worked out great. They were easy to lite and burned long enough to get the lump charcoal started. I had to use 3 for a medium size amount of lump charcoal. I like using them. I still use my chimney starter also.
